A Custom Build, From the Ground Up
In one of our recent projects, the existing house on the property was demolished. From there, extensive planning was required to prepare the site for construction. We partnered with the homeowner and their architect to design a home that fully leveraged the location, views, and family needs. Every phase—from grading and utility prep to framing and finishes—was a true collaboration. The result? A home that didn’t just fit the land—it fit the people living in it.

We arrived on the empty lot to fence it off now that all the planning was completed.
The excavator was the first to arrive in order to build the foundation and pour the concrete for the basement floor.
Next we began on the framing. We began completing the bearing walls in the basement then started rolling floor joist.
The trusses then were installed.
Only those living in the area can appreciate the amount of snow we had during this home build. We worked through these natural challenges in order to get the roof assembly started.
Progress continues with the installation of the siding.
We now head inside to begin the flooring and tiling.
The kitchen and bathroom are taking shape.
The Stone Mason arrived to make the exterior very appealing.
The second part of the driveway and walkway has been poured leading to the side entrance.
So excited to share how great all is coming together. The side entrance is completed, the kitchen is also almost completed while waiting on the stove, and furniture is arriving too.
The Living Room is completed and the bathrooms are almost finished.
The staircase and railing came out very nice. And finally the Back Porch is looking wonderful.
Our story ends here while we are waiting for Spring to arrive. Landscaping is planned and we will return with project photos to show the final project.

They were responsive and attentive, worked within our budget, and finished ahead of schedule. The entire project took place while we were out of the country, but Crossbeam provided great communication in spite of being in different time zones, and sent updates and photos almost daily. They also had to navigate the city’s requirements for maintaining the historical integrity of the property. The craftsmanship and care they took in the challenging tile work gave our bathroom the artisan look with a modern touch we were after. This kind of work requires true professionals.
